Rannoch Moor is famously a watery wilderness of peat bogs, lochans, and dark blue rivers. When the sun pierces through the Scottish mist, the light doesn't sit on the surface, it reflects, refracts, and bleeds through the layered blues and greys of the water. This little painting represents the union between the heavy, water sodden, peaty earth and the fleeting gold of the sky.
